Renault safety

Help!
I'm being driven (no pun intended) by a Renault ad, I believe made in Germany, using food as crash test dummies. The ad is stating that Renault cars pass certain safety tests. Anyhow it's the music I want to know about - it's a French song, posssibly from the 1920's or 1930's - NOT sung by Edith Piaf. Does anybody out there know it? If you visit www.renault.co.uk you can view the add - it's the one with a white sausage at the beginning. Sounds crazy I know - but true!

Well now - seeing as you're French - don't suppose you can translate it for me? I can get as far as:

"I will wait for you day and night..." and then I recognise only odd words.
Beautiful song, isn't it - do you know anything about the singer?I'll bet you wish you didn't answer my query now!
