Well the composer of this song is Dev(onté) Hynes - regarding to the track he wrote this at his twitter channel ( https://twitter.com/devhynes ) a few hours ago : 'Lots of ppl asking about the song in the "Palo Alto" trailer. It's a song I wrote along w/ the score. You gotta see the film to hear more !!'

So... I guess we will have to wait here till the score comes out to find out more.
