I recently have started watching the show How to Cook Everything with Paul Bittman. There is a song that plays during over the course of the show, in particular it always seems to be cued when tasting of food is going on. The song is in spanish I think, sounds like it has Cuban influences, alot like Buena Vista Social club. Didnt know if anyone knew the name of the song?

just saw this show on tv again, and got me thinking about the opening song for it, which I still can't find and still love the sound of 
you can hear a bit of it in the first few seconds of this clip, and the last 20 seconds of this clip
anyone recognize it, or even know of the genre/music with a similar type of sound I can explore?
