Admittedly, I don't get on here that often. Not even after it was pointed out to me by a friend of mine. But so far when I get on the Film Soundtracks forum, there seem to be only questions relating to songs used in films and not actually scores themselves, which fascinates me much more than a song used in a film. I'm just grousing, I guess, and wondering.

I think its a result of film soundtracks now being composed of pop music rather than being fully scored.

It's a trend that probably started in the late 70's early 80's. Think of the soundtracks of the 70's and earlier. What was the pop/rock song in "Jaws"? Well, there wasn't one! It was all John Williams original score.

And remember this site's original intent was to find the songs used in ads, hence the name AD Tunes.

But if you read enough posts, you will find that there are still fans who are knowledgable about a number of film composers.
