I have been looking for this forever.. I found a guy named Andrew Ingkavet who did another commercial (not the one with the elephant) and it sounds similar.

If you have yet to find the answer to your sapphire question, I located a bit of data regarding an individual who performed work for that company. The following may be helpful. "The loop used is from a song by Tim Maia called Imunização Racional ... which is an amazingly song in itself." Here's the url that had the quote; looks interesting.

Sorry to dig this up, but I received an email from sugartown creative today:

The music from the Bombay Sapphire spot "Elephant" was composed especially for the ad. It was composed by Eric Stamile, who works through Search Party Music in New York City.
