I'm trying to find out which artist sings the newer more popular version of the song "Black Betty" the one that keeps popping up all over tv any help would be appreciated.

No it's not Ram Jam, although I do like that version. I just found it though. The group is Spiderbait I found it on the Dukes of Hazard soundtrack. Thanks for the help.

Ram Jam is the band that made it popular. It's version is used in The Dukes of Hazzard; Spiderbait was used in trailers and ads.

I didn't really know the history of the song, all I had to go on was internet searches. I just prefer the Spiderbait version it's a little less country. Thanks for the info.
