Does anyone know anything about it? I was told I could use it to rip small sections of songs. Also it erases the digital rights management too??

I used Audacity for a while, but I didn't really like it. I have to use editing software a lot because I teach dance and sometimes the songs I want to use are too long or I need to splice a bunch of songs together. It was fine for cutting music, I guess, but I'm much happier with Sony Acid Pro. If you're not looking to do too much, Audacity should be fine.

You can do alot on it, so Im pretty happy with it. And yes, you can edit songs on it very easily.

Audacity is ok.. not the most intuitive software in my opinion, and kinda glitchy, but it's ok. Personally I really like Amadeus II, but of course it's only free for a 30 day trial. Then you have to pay $10 or something.. it's still a little glitchy, but it's really easy to use.

Acid works good. If all you wanna do is cut up song though you could try mp3directcut.
