“Mexico” represents the ideal state they are aiming to end up in. While the production is spotless, “Things I Dream” has an innate intensity that becomes greater as the track progresses. As the violins become more intense, the flows from Deacon and Natti pick up their pace to meet that intensity. Ending Dirty Acres on the note that “I know our dreams are make believe, but I don’t think we have to let them go. I can’t promise you Rome or Sandro Pay, but one day we’ll make it to Mexico”, Cunninlynguists make it clear that even if one’s dreams seem out of reach, the goal that they represent is still attainable.
And finally we have my personal favorite track on the album, "Mexico". This is another song that I can easily see on MTV2 if not MTV (if it only had a video). The hook reaches out to the rappers' main girl, "I know these dreams are make-believe but I don't think we should let 'em go/ They promise you Rome or San Tropez, but one day we might make it to Mexico". It has a real genuine feel that I'm sure millions of up-and-comers will relate to. The song will make you smile with it's optimism. This record will be on repeat in my CD player for a while. The electric guitar suits this beat perfectly. A must listen.
