It's a funky, rockin' guitar riff piece. Can't find it anywhere. Any clues?

Re: Looking for the music in the 2010 Land Rover LR4 Commercial

Nevermind. Found it!

So, you ask if anyone knows who wrote the tune for the
new Land Rover LR4 commercial: something I've been pining to
learn. And then you say Never Mind I found it.

Anyone can FIND IT. WHO PERFORMS IT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD>

We have this great website and I'm still at a dead end.

Anyone?

The song is Simon & Garfunkel - A Simple Desultory Philippic (Or How I Was Robert McNamara'd Into Submission) Written By Bob Dylan

When I first heard the guitar riff I thought it was "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'", but having listened to "A Simple Desultory Philippic", I could see how that might be it.

My dummy roommate says it's "Marrakesh Express" (which he also said was a Simon and Garfunkle song.) Wrong on so many counts.

I'd like a definitive answer to what this song is if anyone can provide...

its finally nice to see people working on this mystery. What a shame to still
be a mystery. Please keep working people.

I love the tune, it sounds so much like the intro to KT Tunstall's "Hold On" ... I want to contact the company and ask them about the song and who performs it but that isn't going to happen, I'm happy enough that somebody was kind of enough to put it on here so I can listen to it.

I contacted Land Rover and they kindly replied that the music was created specifically for the commercial. The music details are as follows:

Title: Hand
Composer: Dan Peppe
Artist: Dan Peppe & Jon Collyer
Publisher: Finger Music

I agree sounds exactly like the Glass Tiles track with a bit of improvising.
Maybe the guy that "wrote it" for Land Rover was pulling a fast one

It sounds like Liz Phair's song Baby Got Going (rejected version).

LIKE TO HAVE YOU GUYS OPINION OF THE BEGINNING OF 'subterranium homesick blues" bob dylan, tell me what you think..
