This is going to be difficult because I can only remember one word in the song, and honestly, it may not even be the word I think it is. I wish I could sing it to you! Anyway... I've got a song running through my head that's driving me crazy. It's a pop-rock song, very heavily produced, with female vocals. Sounds a lot like old-school Alanis Morissette, but it's definitely not any of her singles. Chorus begins with "waiting for the (something)" - possibly. The way she delivers it, it sounds more like "WAY-neeeeeeeh....... for the blaa-aa-aa-aaaah," so it could actually be "wailing" or something completely different.

Anyone? Help?

Try the group "Azure Ray."

The two female singers remind me of Alanis Morisette, but much softer; I believe the genre is "Dream Pop"

Turned out to be "Waiting" by Chantal Kreviazuk. Thanks for pointing me to Azure Ray, though - they're great!
