Need some help finding this song

I am looking for a song that is mainly orchestral with (what sounds like) a female choir. The only lyrics I know are "The riiiiiver is wiiide..." or something along those lines. I am 90% sure that the song is by Philip glass and a certain "quartet." I have been looking for this song for sooooo long and I would be so grateful if anyone could possibly identify it. Thanks so much in advance, I really, really appreciate any and all help.

I think the song is called "The Water Is Wide" and the quartet might be Kronos Quartet. They've covered Phillip Glass. Sorry I couldn't find more.
