My Girl 2

I was wondering what the song at the end of My Girl 2 was. It's when the main character...I think her name is Veda is leaving California and she is in the airport tunnel saying goodbye to the boy and they kiss. The she goes on the airplane and opens the present from him and its the earings she wanted. It sounds lie the Beach Boys but I'm not sure if its them. Thanks!
