Adter much research on the net I have discovered that the music from the main Theme of the Globe Trekker Tv Travel Series is written by Ian Ritchie and you can order two volumes of varios artists from the Lonely Planet and Globe trekker Pilot Guides Music on CD.

they also hav an ambient journeys cd. ian ritchie has composed tracks on tht cd too.
