I don't have an mp3 player.
neither do I. :( I really want to get an ipod though.. [/b][/quote]
haha theres a lot you want

I have a 40G iPod, that's a few songs short of being full... and I have a love/hate relationship with that fact. I'll never-ever get close to scrolling through or listening to all those songs, even on a long trip. So what's the point of having them all there, other than for backup? I have an external drive on my computer for that. The only advantage is that I have every song at my fingertips when I'm out, but even on my most random mood days, I don't need that much music to pick from. -_-

My mp3 player is only a gig, which is another love/hate relationship because then I have much better access - less scrolling and all - but the problem is choosing the songs I want on there each time. It really is an all-day ordeal because the ADD kicks in and I go play Bejeweled instead. Plus there's some damn glitch with my upload program and I can't just take some songs off and put new ones back on, so whenever I get new music that I want to add I have to remove them all and start from scratch.

I have a 30G, with about 18-20G of music, rest miscelaneous backups. Scrolling thru all that is a pain. Especially while driving, when it can be dangerous. I'm waiting for a "head up" display unit that links with the iPod so i can scroll thru that without taking my eyes off the road. My old car's speedometer was like that. Very useful.

But I still like having all that music with me. If you think about it, scrolling through menu's is still better than going to your CD rack, selecting the CD, hoping it's in the right case, puting it on the stereo etc etc...

iPod's the smart playlist is really cool. That's what I listen to when I drive.

What's your player, Melissa?

It's an RCA Lyra.. and it's upgradable, which I like.

Plus I have all my cds ripped for that exact reason you mentioned, there's very few albums I like all the way through so instead of putting on a cd for one or two songs then grabbing another I just play mixes all the time.

My CD player can play MP3s. Each CD can hold about 120 songs and I keep the CD in there 'til I get tired of it. I'll switch it out and don't listen to it for about 3-4 weeks. This way each song stays "new". If I had access to all of my songs, I'd prolly start hating it after a month. :leela:

That is what I do.

I don't have an mp3 player but I voted for all because I just like having them all avail to me.

I don't have an mp3 played either but I voted only music I listen to....cause usually for like a long length of time I find myself listening to one song repeated over and over again that I like at the time.... :D
