    Dow Chemical Human Element

Thank you so much...I just remember today that I posted this. I was not aware that there was a Dow Chemicals, as Dow Jones didn't make much sense...it wasn't even the right logo. Thanks.

    Dow Chemical Human Element

I completely forgot to mention, in case there is an entire new campaign of these commercials, it is fairly long and first talks about the reaction of certain elements like hydrogen and oxygen, oxygen and carbon, etc., and then it repeats these with the added element of humans. It shows the...

    Dow Chemical Human Element

This is the only Dow commercial I have seen recently. It is strings, and I heard it about an hour ago so I don't remember it exactly, but I believe that is was prominently violin. Very backgroundy, and soft.

    VH1 Save the Music

The song is Blue Monk. It is a Thelonious Monk song, but the versions I have heard by them is fairly different, but still the same scale. That took long enough...

    Victoria's Secret "Angel Uplift" underwear

It was one of the few VS commercials with vocals, and a man. I don't even remember the words, or what the song really sounded like. The man was older and was singing the song, and it had something to do with clouds. I doubt anyone would remember this, but I liked it then, and I'd like to have...

    NBA Finals

I also saw a commercial, where it was all black and white and featured mostly on a man walking through cameras and such. It wasn't the same commercial, but it was all instrumental as well, mostly upper strings.

    Royal Bank of Scotland RBS

It was one of the RBS commercials shown during the PGA tour season, with I think old Arnold Palmer or Jack Nicklaus clips or someone like that, and at the end he turns in his card with a 48. The music was pretty piano music, and I am going to assume that it will be shown a couple times...

    Six Feet Under

I think you're right about Thomas Newman...Road to Perdition, maybe? I don't know, but I will listen through my Newman stuff.

    VH1 Save the Music

Okay, I have two composers...Artie Shaw and Acker Bilk. Supposedly it is one of these guys.

    VH1 Save the Music

They play the song on the Starbucks station all the time (XM). It is a pretty famous jazz piece, and is written for a full jazz ensemble. It goes a lot faster. I am going to ask one of my friends who does a lot of jazz, because I am a mostly classical musician and therefore pretty useless :) .

    Chase credit cards "Life"

It's not quite the same thing, but what I usually do is Google the lyrics. I put the lyrics I know in quotation marks ("I'm fifteen for a moment" or whatever) and then put the word lyrics after it. I can usually find the song, if it isn't too obscure.

I think it's just an original for the show...

    2006 Winter Olympics Torino

I know what you're talking about, but I can't find it. It sounded very themeish, if you know what I mean. John Williams can lay the violin solos on thick (a la Schindler's List) but I haven't checked his yet.

    GM commercal from the Olymics

If you're talking about the "Then and Now" commercial, then the sond is AM Radio by Everclear.

    2006 Winter Olympics Torino

It is called Dark Eyes. I don't know who played the exact version she skated to, but I'm sure you can find a really similar one.
