    Ack, I finally figured it out! I heard the commercial again and then did the head-smack when the lead singer's voice was so recognizable only an idiot wouldn't have known who it was. :rolleyes: It's "Gimme Shelter" by The Rolling Stones (released in 1969). Thanks anyway, guys.... :)

    I am making myself crazy with this one because it is a song I SHOULD know. All I remember about the commercial is that at one point there is a brief shot of an astronaut. The spot appears on Discovery Channel or History Channel and has a 1960's - 1970's era backing track. It's a group song...
