I work at American Eagle and on our after-hours cd there's a song with the lyrics "I'm taking it back, taking it back" in the chorus. It's a male voice, Jack Johnson-esque, kind of pop/rock-ish. Does this ring any bells for anyone?

sorry i dont know the song your referring to, but couldnt you just borrow the cd or somthing? and theres always the chance the store you work at sells the actual cd your listening to all day.

We're not allowed to take the cd's out of the store, and they keep a pretty tight watch on them. I wouldn't have a problem finding the name, but the song isn't on the one we play in the store all day. It's on an after-hours one only for employees. No song list or anything.

No, not Bon Jovi. It's a really chill song, pretty mellow, with guitar. It's a pretty ambiguous good male voice, but sounds a lot like Mat Kearney. I wish I would have paid more attention to the lyrics but figured the title would be Taking It Back because it's so prominent in the chorus.
