smooth beat song "johnny didn't know..."

I cant really remember any of the words, the beat sounded a lot like "Mary Janes Last Dance", but was more of a happier song.. the ony part I remember is the beginning of one of the versus which he says:
"Johnny didn't know.... (something, something something something)"

yeah not much help but its all I know

they sounded somewhat like the beatles, im not sure.

k, I heard it on the radio while I was in subway, and I picked up them saying "Johnny" before most of the lines in the verses. It sounds a little like creedence clearwater revival, but i dont know
