Sorry if this is a bad post, but I couldn't think of anywhere else to put it.

I'm looking for some bands (or musicians) that use only piano and violin in their music. Vocals or not, doesn't matter. If not just violin then at least something orchestrated. Something like the more mellow music from Silent Hill 2. A better example would be Theme Of Laura (Reprise) from Silent Hill 2. That is a perfect example of what I'm talknig about. Any suggestions?

How 'bout...
"The Gravel Road" - The Village Soundtrack
It has a violin and piano in it. Well, I think every track has those instruments in it but didn't check.
The tunes kinda sad, btw.

Or, "Only Hope" - Mandy Moore. It's on the A Walk To Remember Soundtrack.
There's singing for ya and it's just piano.

Or, "Love Theme" - Romeo & Juliet Soundtrack or something like that. I've heard a piano version (with some strings in it) and a violin version as well.

Only ones I can think of right now.

Enjoy!!!

"Mandy" - Barry Manilow
There's a cover by a group called Westlife as well.
It's heavy on the piano, no violin I think, nothing orcestrated...
Don't know if it's what u are looking for.
If I'm on the wrong path, tell me...

"Graduation (Friends Forever)" - Vitamin C
It's got violin and sounds kinda orchestra-ish. Not as depressing as the others. :D

"My Immortal" - Evanescence
"Glorious" - Andreas Johnson
"There's Been An Accident" - The Twilight Singers (love them)
"Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" - Blue ft. Elton John
Anything from Bond, group of girls on strings, no piano though.
Lux Aeterna - very famous, a version on Requiem For A Dream Soundtrack and apparently on Lord of the Rings (I think the Two Towers) Soundtrack although I don't know what it's called.
"Somewhere Only We Know" - Keane
