Law and Order theme song

Being a Brit this may be very old in the States, but last night 12/03/04 was an episode of Law and Order. Didn't watch it, but the theme music was cool. Very widely used piece of music. Help a feller out? Eh?

No, that's not it. It might be a later Law and Order series. I think the TV commentator said it was a two part special. That ring any bells with anyone?
If not here's what an online TV Guide said about the episode, to help you out. I never realised this Mike Post guy did the NYPD Blue theme, anyone know where I can download that? iTunes doesn't have it.
