    I posted about this ad a while ago also, but haven't been able to find out what the music is from. It sounds like it could have been lifted from a movie soundtrack, and a few people have suggested it may be from the soundtrack to the Civil War movie "Glory."

    In case anyone still cares - the original is by Iron & Wine, which is basically one guy named Sam Beam, who records all his stuff on an old 4-track he owns. The remake is by Postal Service, which is a side project of Ben Gibbons, the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie. Just more useless trivia.

    I saw a lengthy ad for the Marines on TV last night that used some very somber, sweeping music that was naggingly familiar. I think it must be from a movie soundtrack and the ad maker borrowed it. Anyone know the ad and the source of the music?

    Can anyone tell me what the song is that is featured in the background of the new Chevy Impala ad? The ad has a bunch of animated metallic impalas surrounding a guy's car. I've heard the tune playing in various stores before, and it may be a "mash up" because the basic melody is very familiar...
