Just so you know, "Our House" by Phantom Planet, CSN/Y cover, has been released as a single on iTunes. You can find it here. The song is part of the soundtrack for the film The Chumscrubber. The trailer can be seen here. Enjoy.

    Collateral

Ehhh. Nope. Turns out that in the movie, the song I want just seemingly blends into "Briefcase." That's not it.

    Collateral

I think I found it - "Briefcase" by Tom Rothrock. It is on the soundtrack after all.. I was just paying attention to a different part of it. :) Thx for your help though!

    Collateral

Watching the DVD now, the scene before is when Fanning and the FBI agents realize what Vincent is doing, and they walk into the parking lot. The FBI agents drive away and Fanning and his friend argue, and his friend says "It's late. I'm going home. You know what time it is?" Right around when...

    Collateral

I just watched Collateral again, and I took a liking to a certain rock song that plays during the middle of the movie. It's played when Max and Vince are just driving on the freeway. It splits between scenes of them driving, an overhead view of the cab, a plane taking off, and a panoramic view...

    VW Volkswagen Touareg

Massive bump... but, yes, I've seen this ad. A while ago. I believe it was a Canada-only ad - it was simply the Touareg driving around a hilly landscape with logs and such, with the announcer talking about sport-tuned suspension and other lovely things, to a very bassy tune. When I saw this ad...

    Ocean's Twelve

The "horns" tune is not on the soundtrack, nor do I recall it ever being in the movie. It was only in the trailer, so, unfortunately, you may not be able to grab a copy of it.

    Fahrenheit 9/11

Well, Michael Moore is usually on a bit of a budget - so he uses a lot of small bands and non-licensed music that probably can only be recognized on the soundtrack, available October 5th. Notice all the democratic Jeff Gibbs songs? He was co-producer for Fahrenheit 9/11. Might be one of his songs.

    New Civic Nation Commercial

Watch the ad here: http://civicnation.ca/en/drive_in.html Definitely sounds like The Flaming Lips. I'll look around.

    Fahrenheit 9/11

I haven't seen any Fahrenheit 9/11 commercials in a long time (it's old enough to not be advertised anymore, should fall out of theatres soon), but I recall some old TV spots using the song "I'd Love To Change The World" by Ten Years After. Hope that helps. The song doesn't have the words...

    Toyota Hatchback

All those Toyota car commercials are exclusive recordings - I suppose this because every one has "It's got it, I love it, can't get enough of it" in the lyrics. However, you can watch the "Flat" ad here: http://www.boardsmag.com/screeningroom/commercials/698

    Walmart George clothing

The La's - There She Goes Hope that helps. :) There are many covers of the song. I'm pretty sure this is the one in the commercial though.

    Labatt Blue - "Shag Time"

Er, I meant, they go to the party. Not the carpet. :D

    Labatt Blue - "Shag Time"

I'm looking for the song in a Labatt Blue commercial (the commercial is entitled "Shag Time") and it has a couple of maintenance guys buffing a shag carpet, then they steal a lawn mower and cut it down instead, because they were gonna be late for a party. After the carpet is nice and smooth they...

    BMW - IPOD COMMERCIAL

All of these are probably just clips recorded just for the commercial. If they're that short, they're probably not real songs. Sorry.

    Carlsberg Beer

Yeah. I love this song too. The Canada-version of the ad (or at least the one aired here) seems to have a different song than other versions. The guitar intro sounds a bit like "Hate To Say I Told You So" by The Hives. I was repeatedly told by some dolt who kept talking about the American...

    Fahrenheit 9/11

At the end of the Fahrenheit 9/11 TV Spot, right after Dubya Bush says "Now, watch this drive", there's a guitar solo-type song that progresses into the end of the commercial. Love the song. Anybody know what it is? Sounds like a golden age song to me.
