Baskin Robins commercial - PacNW maybe?

Looking for tune recently used in the Baskin Robbins fruitsmoothiewhatever thing, but this may be in the Pacific Northwest only... It's an electronica tune, with an overdriven bass line, and some samples over the top. I know they've used the tune on ads for Comedy Central, and Dodge trucks...

Unless they really are putting out two different ads, they're honestly not one and the same. They sound rediculously similar, I agree wholeheartedly. But they're most definitely not the same song. I'll try and tape the commercial, and rip it to MP3.

Yeah, i got that much, and have been tracking down the Abre los Ojos soundtrack bit by bit since. There's a lot of work on it that I already have (pulled from other cds - Massive Attack, Sneaker Pimps, Amphetamine Discharge, etc), but also some work that may be original compositions? And from...

I wanted to check that soundtrack first (it's my suspicion that Zorg, in all his vagueness, means that the original song that *is* used in the commercial has been remade by the Chemical Brothers and released on the Vanilla Sky soundtrack), but I did check out the AT&T website, to no avail. If...

If we don't figure out who it is (i'm still tracking down the Abre Los Ojos soundtrack - i've got a good feeling about that one) then maybe the artist will come out of the shadows after hearing about themselves...

Sex and the City on TBS

On an off note, the extended version of the ad (easily 2 minutes), with the full song (of History Repeating) is very well put together. Still trauling for the other song though.

Once again, it's not that song. The two are very alike, but not the same.

TNT Law & Order reruns music

Must've been a fat cheque that got cut to the label, given the number of different ads they used it in, let alone how many times each one of them aired. Their 'primetime in the daytime' lineup was *packed* with them...

    Lincoln Navigator jazz song

Scruff didn't remix "Get A Move On", he put it together. It's a sampled piece that's based (damn near entirely) around Moondog's "Bird's Lament", which started out life as a tribute to Charlie Parker. There's a clip up on Amazon.

DjFlowerz - Thanks for the reccomendations. I've heard a lot of Felix's work, but up till now i've missed that one. Also tracked down the Huff & Herb mix. 's good stuff. Apologies for the bump, but wanted to say thanks. Cheers.

While I can't imagine *why* they'd be running different sound tracks with it in different parts of the world, I also can't imagine why not. So, in the end, who knows? ...apart from someone who catches the two incarnations... I know which one i've seen though, and it's definitely *not* Jr...

Residuals keep artists going for quite some time. It's been said that having one hit produced and released keeps you set for life. The people that write pop songs for mainstream music (that get performed by the likes of Spears, Timberlake, etc) get a pretty hefty cheque for having their song...

    Almay

Heard the lyrics again, he says "Love is a beautiful thing." Lo and behold, for a google of said lyrics produces the song "Love Is A Beautiful Thing." ...! Who'd have guessed? (Not me, apparently). Out right now is Krystal whatshernames version of it (new, poppish, but tasteful), but a...

    Almay

The latest Almay ad is using the same 4-chord wonder song from the last run, but a different clip from the song! I haven't been able to catch it early enough to turn up the volume to pay attention to the bar of lyrics at the top of the ad to discern what they are, and hence haven't been able to...

The Chemical Brothers song you mentioned (Where Do I Begin - with the female vocalist singing about the coffee cup she can't focus on?), while both very well produced in its own right and very similar, isn't the song used in the commercial. Though after hearing it, one can definitely get a feel...
