I would not be suprised, listening to the auido clip, if what I am looking for is something written by Bach. I am not sure it is the piece you are referring to. I will have to buy the CD to find out. Thanks for the idea!- docgross

Desperate Housewives Season 1
In the desperate housewives commercial I heard last night (yesterday during Big Brother or Amazing Race, I think) it starts out with a classical piece that lasts only about 5 seconds...sounds like a cello, maybe with violins, too.
