    I confess to being a hopeless, OK hopeful, sentimentalist so I adore the GM commercials that ran during the Olympics and featured Brandi Carlile's song, "The Story." It was a classic example of the music track elevating the product.

    I do not recall the commercial but your description sounds a lot like "The Men in My Little Girl's Life." Several artists have recorded a version of this tune, but it was the late Mike Douglas who made the song famous.
