The song is called "Pure Imagination" and its from "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". It appears that the singer from the AT&T ad is actually Gene Wilder who starred in the film.

Good luck if you're looking for an MP3 download: I couldn't find it. The original soundtrack is available from Amazon.

Thanks to all..I realized it was from "Willie Wonka", but didn't remember that it was Gene Wilder.
 
Thank you jca. I feel kind of silly. But at least it's one less thing to ponder.......
 
Family Guy made an amusing parody of this song called "Pure Inebriation."

Actually in this TV ad the song is performed by Anthony Newley.

You posted that on both the AT&T version and the Mastercard version from years ago... obviously they can't both be right! I'm not sure either one of them is...
