Always nice to find exactly what you're looking for in Google. Great site!

Anyways, I have been watching the Tour De France coverage on Versus HD and they keep running their commercial where it shows scenes of previous TDF, along with the names of competitors in this year's TDF.

Lance versus Contador versus Leipheimer versus ...... The... Most.. Epic... Field... Ever...

Anyone know the tune?

I wish someone would reply to you because I really want to know the name too!!! It has been bugging me so much because it is not anywhere on google or youtube but here. I'm so glad atleast one other person in the world wants to know!

I'm also looking for some music that Versus is using in their TdF coverage. Right before the daily coverage starts, they play a short clip of different Versus sports with a guitar song that songs a lot like Explosions in the Sky. I'm about 99% sure that is the artist but I don't know which song! Here are some links to their music if you have not heard of them (they are an instrumental rock band and very good):

I'm kind of obsessed with these songs myself. You'll find what you're looking for here: http://music.versus.com

The "Tour Theme" is toward the bottom of the page. It RAWKS! Can't wait to load this into my mp3 player and go for a ride :)

The Tour Theme is not the same as the music in the "Most Epic" commercials though. :(
It's a great song, but definitely not the same thing - the "Most Epic" commercials don't have guitar in them (or it's not as pronounced) - sounds more like just strings, and the notes are much more punctuated than in the tour theme.

Ah yeah, different song. I wonder why it isn't on the versus site? If you come across it, post it here. That's a great tune as well.

Guitar theme answer

Thankfully I had a ton of Explosions in the Sky on my iTunes and they one they are using came up in shuffle today. It's from the "Friday Night Lights" tv soundtrack and the name of the track is "First Breath After Coma." (It also appears on the EP "The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place")
