i'm wondering what CD i should get my brother, please help. here are bands i know he likes:

belle and sebastian
artic monkeys
muse
deathcab for cutie
kaiser chiefs
the white stripes
gorillaz
kasabian
franz ferdinand

what would be a good CD along these lines he would like? something safe that he would most likely enjoy, please... perhaps something i've heard of.

Well, he has great taste in music, I must say.

Do you access to his music collection, to ensure that you don't buy something he already owns? Check to see if he has The Decemberist's The Crane Wife.

he has bloc party and the bravery, i don't like that new killers song, and though the rasmus is good i ended up buying the crane wife by the decemberists... in the spirit of december. thanks everyone!
