I got to see the Dark Knight early and saw a trailer for Watchmen. I think it's going to be released sometime tonight or over the weekend online. Anyway, I remember the song to be "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" by the Smashing Pumpkins, but it's nothing like the original song.

In the trailer it's much slower and just composed with heavy beats, nothing like this single. Anyone know any alternate versions?

The song is also available on the "Batman and Robin" soundtrack, along with The End is the Beginning is the End, a song with similar lyrics and a different style also by Smashing Pumpkins.

I'm trying to figure out the first 30 seconds as well. I know the second part is Pruit Igoe by Philip Glass and yes, the last part is by Muse

First 30 seconds is also from Phillip Glass. It is from the soundtrack "Koyaanisqatsi". The track is called 'Prophecies'.
