This music piece has been bugging me for sometime, and this place is my last hope!

"The Assassination of Richard Nixon" trailer features a sad and morose yet well-known musical piece at the very beginning. That piece is frequently played on a piano, yet this time it is played with a violin. It's also prominently featured in the official website of the short film "Tomorrow's Memoir". I want to know the original name and the composer of this piece. Please help!

Here's a link to the trailer at the official website:

"Piano Sonata No. 14 in C Sharp Minor, Op. 27 No. 2 'Moonlight': I. Adagio sostenuto" by Ludwig van Beethoven (Amazon) ()

AKA: "Moonlight Sonata"

what is that particular violin version called?

cant find it "Moonlight Sonata violin"

this film is great!..in the tradition of "taxi driver" so be sure to watch..but i gotta say....by now everyone should know moonlight sonata when they hear it....no pun.
