Song on the radio

I hardly ever listen to the radio but the other day I heard a song and it sounded like "be yourself don't..." then something or something else. all I could make out was be yourself cause I had my headphones on. I know it's vague but I DO know it was on a pop station so it's a popular song. and it isn't by Audioslave or Morcheeba lol.

If that doesn't work. can you remember if it was a male or female singer? Was it fast or slow?

I looked but I didn't see anything that would be it. Just a lot of hip hop and songs that I know very well. It was rock, the singer was a guy and it kinda had a sad feeling to it but not THAT sad. The chorus was also very catchy, I remember there were 3 fast syllables, then another 4 fast syllables, and then 3 drawn out ones in the chorus. it SOUNDED like "be yourself, don't let.." and that's all i could make out. once again very vague but I keep humming it and that's all I can really do

I found it!! MGMT - Kids .I looked at the top 40 on some site and he's saying CONTROL yourself but I probably couldn't tell cause I only got to hear the chorus before my brother changed the station. I was pretty sure it sounded electronic but I couldn't tell before, and yeah it is.

Well, I'm glad you found it. It can be frustrating to have a song in your head and not be able to find out what it is.
