A guy selects a video game over his girlfriend. The cliched scenario is depicted in the new commercial for EA Sport's Madden NFL 2005. After spending a romantic day together, the guy puts the girl into a taxi and sends her on her way in favor of staring at the poster for the latest release of the popular video game. The TV ad for the video game (available on all three platforms: PlayStation 2, XBox and GameCube) uses the song "Question" by Old 97's.
The game, available August 12, will boast a soundtrack full of tracks from artists like Green Day, Franz Ferdinand, Hoobastank and New Found Glory. Green Day packs the fate of their new single "American Idiot" in the video game by having it appear exclusively before the album is even released. Other exclusive tracks include Jazze Pha's "Da Heavy Hittas" and Will.I.Am's (of The Black Eyed Peas) song "Go!" B000059ZHP,B00020V4N0
