Is Danny Gokey being paid to recreate the heart hand gesture from this LensCrafters commercial on American Idol?

Danny Gokey has been making a stupid heart at the end of his last 2 performances. Originally, we thought it might be due to his charity, Sophia's Heart, which of course is just him using his dead wife for more votes. But it was also brought to our attention that the new Lenscrafters commercial (above) has people doing the same thing. Since Douchey loves his douche glasses, could he be doing this as some sort of under the table promotion from Lenscrafters?
