Hello,

Here's a question for anyone in the music industry:

What's the cost to license a music cue for use in a major motion-picture trailer?

(ex: orchestral music from "Two Steps From Hell," "Audiomachine," "Immediate Music," "Q-Factory," "X-Ray Dog," "Riptide Music," or "Position Music")

Just looking for some ballpark figures.

Thanks!

certain libraries are exclusive to movie trailers, others are used for a wide variety of medium. Everything depends on mainly the following 3 items:

1) the library- certain production values are arguably higher than other libraries
2) the medium of distribution(s): internet, tv, cinema, conference venues, presentations
3) the length of the cue used

In other words, call for a quote ;)

A cue from IM - Themes 3, costs $15,000 to drop into a trailer $7,500 for online useage.
