Hi, does anyone know the song that played during last night's episode of October Road...

The lyrics were something like
"I'm waking at the crack of dawn to send a little money home"

Guy singing, seems familiar as if I've heard it in a movie or other tv show.

Thanks!

Hope this is it.

"Glass, Concrete & Stone" by David Byrne

Now
I'm waking at the crack of dawn
To send a little money home
From me to
The moon
Is rising like a discotheque
And now my bags are down and packed
For traveling
Looking at happiness
Keeping my flavor fresh
Nobody knows, I guess
How far I'll go
I know, so I'm
Leavin at six o'clock
Meet in the parking lot
??
Sunglasses on, she waits by this
Glass and concrete and stone
It is just a house, not a home

Skin
That covers me from head to toe
Except a couple tiny holes
And openings
Where
The city's blowing in and out
And this is what it's all about
Delightfully
Everything's possible
When you're an animal
Not inconceivable
How things can change
I know, so I'm
Putting on aftershave
Nothing is out of place
Gonna be on my way
Try to pretend
It's not
Only glass and concrete and stone
And it's just a house, not a home

And it's glass and concrete and stone
It is just a house, not a home
And my head is fifty feet high
Will my body and soul be my guide?

Did anyone catch the song at the very beginning of October Road, not the intro, just the first song that came on after that. They played quite a bit of it and I liked it......hope someone knows it. Thanks!

After watching Grey's Anatomy, right after I was about to change the channel, this song was being played at the begining of October road(Not the intro theme).

does anyone know the song towards the end of the episode where nick is running to hannahs house??

It's probably "It's Been A Long Time" by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes.

the song starts right after hannah tells nick how she felt, and the next scene where eddie goes to the bar and talks with janet, and continues to play when aubrey talks to nick.

i heard drums and possibly an acoustic guitar.

the words i got were:

"they were gonna meet
on a rocky mountain street
too bashful hearts beat
....
it was all set
she ain't showed up yet
.....

to love...

they were gonna
on a crummy little street
and never came to be

The Squirts - "I Still Love You"

Pistol Opera - "Siren Song"

Coby Brown - "Man Burning Down"

Soul Asylum - "Misery"

Bill Conti - "Gonna Fly Now"

Jordon Zevon - "Studebaker"

hope this helps :)

The song in the beginning that you might be referring to is:

Switches - "Killer Karma"
