For me, Xmas songs are all about the crooners (like Bing Crosby and Perry Como). Pretty much any holiday music by those two is what Xmas is all about.

My personal individual favorites:

White Christmas - Bing Crosby
It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Xmas - Perry Como
Rockin' Around the Xmas Tree - Brenda Lee
Holly Jolly Xmas - Burl Ives
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Andy Williams
Christmas Song - Nat King Cole
Feliz Navidad - Jose Feliciano (my kids love this one, and we don't speak spanish!)

As far as entire Xmas albums, everyone HAS to have Elvis in their collection. All of this Xmas songs are spectacular. And what is Xmas without the Chipmunks? My kids love their Christmas with the Chipmunks album.

Happy Holidays!
Paula

My all-time favorite Christmas song ...
Andy Williams - "Happy Holiday/The Holiday Season"
(all I have to hear is the first few notes of the tune, I instantly can recognize it, and I am instantly put in a good mood)

And now a brief listing of a few more tunes to enjoy ...

The Waitresses - "Christmas Wrapping"
The Three Wise Men [aka XTC] - "Thanks for Christmas"
Vince Vance & The Valiants - "All I Want for Christmas is You"
Boney M. - "Mary's Boy Child/Oh My Lord"
Bryan Adams - "Reggae Christmas"
Amy Grant - "Breath of Heaven (Mary's Song)"
Sting - "Gabriel's Message"
Santana - "Posada (Pilgrimage to Bethlehem)"
George Strait - "Christmas Cookies"
John Lennon - "Happy Xmas (War is Over)"
The Royal Guardsmen - "Snoopy's Christmas"
song: "Mamacita, Donde Esta Santa Claus?" (done by various artists)
ANYTHING by Trans Siberian Orchestra
ANYTHING by Mannheim Steamroller
Rosemary Clooney - "Suzie Snowflake"
Dean Martin - "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!"
Bing Crosby/David Bowie - "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth"

I could go on and on and on ... but I'll stop here ... for now ...

Happy Holidays!
Enjoy!
There you go. Ho!Ho!Ho! :p  B)

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings - Barenaked Ladies with Sarah McLachlan

It would probably be easier for me to come up with a "Worst Xmas Songs" list, but I do enjoy the Vince Guaraldi tunes and Sufjan Stevens's new Christmas album.

The classics, depending on who sings them, can be pretty good too.
