Oh just a heads up, about half way through the trailer, that catchy rock song (not the one in the suiting up scenes) is Henrietta by The Fratellis, I believe. If not, it's on their album, I'll verify later.

It is the very first thing you hear. I am thinking the music was probably composed for the film but if anyone has any ideas or light they could shed then I am all ears.

That music is from the original "Lethal Weapon" trailer. What it is, exactly, I don't know. Maybe written especially for the trailer?
Frankly I'm surprised that in "Hot Fuzz," where they used the music again (running away from the sea mine and jumping over the hedge), they didn't use the build/climax from the original piece (heard at the end of the trailer). It's what I expected, because it's what I would have done.
