Okay, so tonite while watching Jimmy Kimmel Live. 30Aug2006, I listened very closely to what at first sounded like an Oasis song.
I briefly turned and noticed it was a Pontiac G6 Commercial with a white vehicle.
First let me start off by saying what songs I know that it isn't:
Kasabian - Club Foot
Razorlight - Golden Touch
Citizen Cope - Son's Gonna Rise
Mercury Rev - Secret For A Song
Eagles of Death Metal - Flames Go Higher
Dandy Warhols - I Love You

It also may or may not contain the phrase "i reach for the" and the word beautiful repeated. I generally try to remember certain phrases of songs and then boolean query them in google along with the word lyrics. No, luck.

PLEASE HELP!

Mike

capnmunch,
Can't find it anywhere, so I have no idea! This is so frustrating! - Mike

Its by The National, there are snipits of secret meeting and mr november in it i think

The commercials features two hard top Pontiac convertibles. One black, one white.
Lyrics contain the words/phrases:
"superstition"
"i reach for the"

I asked this question on 30 August 2006 and received NO CORRECT ANSWER.

The ads are not available on their website anymore.

Last year Pontiac had an almost identical commercial with the M83 track. But recently, the new solstice commercial has a different song. Same exact effects though: streaming neon lights and the car driving through a vague city nightscape. If anyone knows the NEW song (NOT "Don't Save Us From The Flames") please chime in. Thanks.

The song is:

Quicksilver by theShining

I had read that it might be this, but could not find the song to download.

So, I bought the CD off Amazon.com Marketplace.

There, in case anyone in the future would like to know.
