Right before Jill Scott covers the chorus for the Roots on "You Got Me" she sings a solo verse. The words go something like "When I use my mind I win the raaaace," and "I can take you hiiigh, I can take you looow." I'm looking for this song.



In another forum a poster quoted what I think are the rest of the words to the verse:

"I'm going to take my tiiimmmmeee. If I search I will findddd. I'm going to take this paaace. When I use my mind I win the race. I'm going to take my tiiiimmmmmmeeeahhhh. When I search I do findddah. I'm going to take it sllloooowwwlllyy to make sure that you know me!"

I believe that song might be "The Way" off her album "Who Is Jill Scott?".

The song is called "You Got Me" performed by The Roots, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott.
