Hi Everyone!

I was just wondering about a song featured in the Forrest Gump movie. (1994) When Forrest joins the army and the music begins to play as they are slowly walking down a dirt road with Lutenant Dan (spelling?). I think it might be by Jimi Hendrix but I'm probably wrong. Anyways, thanx alot!

Yeah, it's Jimi Hendrix's remake of "All Along The Watchtower".

hendrix's version is a remake? i always thought his version was the original -- being more familiar with the dave matthews band remake of the song. :blink:

Bob Dylan wrote it and did the original..
I didn't know about the Dave Matthews one, I'll have to check that out..

I think there's another song that Dylan wrote but again with Jimi's version being more famous... the Buffalo Springfield song that plays just before Gump's platoon gets ambushed is also wicked...
