my songs were the only non- Hawaiian songs in THE DESCENDANTS. They played during the confrontation between Brian and Matt at the beach house. How did they affect you? Did you feel sympathy for Brian, thinking he was just a regular guy listening to Alt-Country music? Did you realize the lyrics matched the conversation? Curious to know if you think the songs worked or not. Were you jarred by the fact that the music was not Hawaiian?
