Following in the footsteps of former American Idol Kelly Clarkson, the latest winner, Taylor Hicks, has signed on to star in his own version of television and radio ads for Ford. Hicks, who was recently named by People Magazine as the Hottest Bachelor for 2006, can be seen atop a giant wheel stage singing a song called "Possibilities" in the "Drive On Us" campaign. A 30-second MP3 clip of the song can be heard at Ford's website.

Readers of our Trailer Music forum are probably familiar with the stock film trailer music studio Immediate Music. Whether it's the infamous track "Lacrimosa" from the Spiderman 2 trailer or music in the latest ad for X-Men: The Last Stand, the company Immediate Music is one of the most popular creators of trailer music in the film industry.

Responding to the many requests to release their music to the public, the stock music company is releasing an album based on their trailer music library, under the name of Globus:

"Every time we write a new score for a trailer we are inundated by movie fans wanting to know if it is commercially available. We decided that since there is such a demand we would be foolish not to supply the fans with new versions of our music."

The Globus album, entitled "Epicon" will be released on July 24th in the UK. This release will be followed by a live concert on July 26th at London's Wembley Conference Centre with the band backed by a 100+ piece orchestra and choir. You can see the video for the album's first single, "Prelude (On Earth As In Heaven)" featuring Dann P, lead singer of the UK rock band Vanton.
