 Adult Swim's Mambo
A popular part of the Cartoon Network is the channel's nightly programming block, known as Adult Swim. Part of this is due to the Adult Swim "bumps" (short for "bumpers", which are short network breaks between programming and commercials). The ad breaks have become so popular that there are web sites devoted to just the bumps themselves, including BumpWorthy.com and ASF.

The bumps began back in 2001 with an Adult Swim commercial featuring a remix of a Tito Puente song "Mambo Gallego" from a stock music production library by Extreme Music. (You can hear the original Tito Puente version of "Mambo Gallego" on iTunes.) Like most music production libraries, the song (titled "D-Code: Covert Communique from Our Man in Havana") is only licensed for use in television, film, and other media -- not available to the general public. The remix eventually found its way into many other commercials and soundtracks, quickly becoming a popular request in our forums.

You can also visit the official Adult Swim message board (Registration Required) to read about music used in the bumps. While you are there, let us know if you find out why Adult Swim is now rerunning episodes of Saved By the Bell in their lineup.
