TV commercial director François Vogel (of Paranoid Projects) returns for a second appearance in a new TV ad for HP's PhotoSmart 375 Photo Printer, part of the on-going "HP + You" campaign. Vogel is seen holding white photo frames up to his face as each captures a snapshot, while he lip syncs the song "Out of the Picture" by The Robins (iTunes).

We first met Vogel, who directed the ads (and 2003's popular "You + HP" TV ad), in last year's HP Digital Photography commercial doing the same routine with the freeze frame effect, lip syncing to "Picture Book" by The Kinks. This first ad was based on the original test footage Vogel did in his home. His homemade spec commercial was so well received by the advertising agency, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, that he was signed on as the commercial's director and also the star.
