 Pantene Expressions
Wind-blown blonde, redhead, and brunette hair on flawless models sets the mood for Pantene Pro-V's Expressions TV ads, which is backed by FC Kahuna's down tempo song "Hayling" (iTunes) featuring vocals by Icelander Hafdís Huld. Even more flawless than the duo's acid-house track is the "Hayling" promo video by UK animators LynnFox.

Update/Correction: According to FC Kahuna's label, Nettwerk Records, the track used in the Pantene ad is NOT "Hayling". Although, it has been acknowledged that the production track used in the ad is very "similar" and could be categorized as a "sound alike". We appreciate Nettwerk Records for correcting the information in our original post.

 Mahna Mahna
What's that familiar kid's song heard in the new TV ad for Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper? It's "Mahna Mahna" from THE MUPPET SHOW. In the commercial, a couple is on a first date in a restaurant. When a Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper arrives at their table, the girl tunes out her male date. Instead she imagines him singing "Mahna Mahna" joined by a chorus of "Do-do-do-do"s coming from the restaurant's patrons and waiters. That version of the catchy song appeared during the first season of The Muppet Show and featured the muppet named Mahna Mahna (voiced by Jim Hensen), a wild haired scat performer, and two long-nosed pink muppets named Snowths.

 Believe in Constantine
Is it Spanish? Arabic? Moroccan? Actually it's a combination of them all, when it comes to the track featured in TV spots for the new Keanu Reeves movie CONSTANTINE. The culturally diverse song heard during the commercial is "Believe" (iTunes) from the band Ozomatli and features vocals by "veteran Moroccan sintir master Hassan Hakmoun, who’s joined by the acclaimed French-Jewish gypsy violinist Les Yeux Noir and The Prague Symphony." The song can be found on the "style-mashers'" latest release "Street Signs."
