 Gondry works Diet Coke
Director Michel Gondry is no stranger when it comes to creating unique, sometimes unusual and stunning visual art. His numerous music videos with singers and bands like Bjork, The White Stripes, Steriogram, Kylie Minogue and the Chemical Brothers have earned him international recognition. Gondry's vision extends to include TV ads for companies such as Gap, Smirnoff and Levi's (remember those scary singing bellybuttons?). He's even the man behind the Jim Carey movie ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND. His latest work is two TV spots for Diet Coke's "Effervescent" bubble-centric campaign starring Kate Beckinsale and Adrien Brody. Beckinsale stars in "Tingle," featuring the bathing beauty walking alongside a pool. "Bounce" follows Brody as he literally bounces along a neighborhood street. "Tingle" uses the song "Tiptoe" by Goldfrapp and "Bounce" samples "Callin' Out" by Lyrics Born.

 Extended Play
Gone are the days of soundtracks being limited to television and film. Artists have found another venue for their music: Video Game soundtracks. Game music has advanced a lot since the days of simple beeps heard in games played on old console systems like Coleco Vision and Atari. These days, mainstream artists such as Blink 182, Kid Rock, Chemical Brothers and Radiohead are lending their musical talents to enhance video games on your XBox, PS2 or GameCube. Gamers are even snatching up CD soundtracks featuring their favorite video game orchestral scores. G4TechTV's XPlay explores the history of the best and the worst video game music.

 Steven Tyler Stuns Sony
Steven Tyler, of legendary rock band Aerosmith, creates a stir in Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-T1 Digital Camera TV ad. The ad, named "Slo Mo," sends female diners into a frenzy as they attempt to take a snapshot of the rock star walking past their table. Aerosmith's newest release, "Honkin' On Bobo," lends the song "The Grind" to fill the background of the TV spot.

 All Hail Queen!
The 1970s rock group Queen had a resurgence in 1992 due to the track "Bohemian Rhapsody" being used in an infamous car ride from the movie WAYNE'S WORLD. The group's sound continues to fit in to today's eclectic mix of popular music trends.

This year kicked off with an ad for Pepsi, starring Pink, Beyonce and Britney, and featured the song Queen is most well-known for, "We Will Rock You." Viagra users rise to the challenge to the tune of "We Are The Champions" in the current Viagra TV spots. Jaguar's latest TV ad shows off a sleek black Jag while the hard rock song "I'm In Love with My Car" blares in the background (Queen's drummer Roger Taylor takes over vocals on the song). Guitarist Brian May will lend his talents to the song "Someone To Die For" on the SPIDER-MAN 2 Soundtrack.

And, not to be left out of a growing trend, Queen's song "I Want to Break Free" will be included in a summer TV campaign for the new "Low-Carb" Coke, called C2.
