Written and performed by John Denver and made popular by the folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary, the song is about Denver leaving his wife to go on tour. The cover version heard in THE TERMINAL trailer is by Chantal Kreviazuk and appeared on the soundtrack for the film ARMAGEDDON. If you watched A&E original series AIRLINE, you'll recognize the tune as the show's theme song. That version was covered by Jimmy Coup specifically for the show.
