Bud Light joins in on the low carb craze with it's latest TV ad to inform us that "all light beers are low in carbs." "The Life" by hip hop artist Mystic can be heard playing in the background as beer is poured from a longneck beer bottle and we're reminded by the announcer to "choose on taste."
The first collection of songs from the hit Fox's series THE O.C. will arrive in stores on Tuesday. "Music From The O.C.: Mix 1" will start off a series of at least three CDs inspired by the popular drama. The second installment is planned to be released later this year. The music is a mix of indie rock and includes the Phantom Planet theme song "California." The CD will contain a fold out poster of the cast and special CD enhancements, such as the scenes during which a particular song was heard.

Have you heard a whistling sound coming from your TV? Seen three kids walking around town leaning backwards in sync? The teens are enjoying their new Starburst Fruit & Creme candy to the tune "The Whistle Song" by PJ Olsson. In the "Brand Spankin'" area of Starburst's site you can download the song and watch "exclusive footage" from the ad that doesn't appear on TV. There is also the "Starburst TV" section with previous ads available for viewing.
Gap's Spring TV ads show ladies strutting their stuff in their new pastel colored cropped pants and cuffed jeans. Both TV spots feature a special remix, for the ad, of the song "Fresh" by Kool and the Gang.
The new "Real World of Coca-Cola" TV ad that debuted during Tuesday's AMERICAN IDOL features Sharlene Hector, a vocalist for Basement Jaxx, singing Nina Simone's song "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free." The ad, which originally aired in the UK, shows Hector walking down a city street handing out bottles of Coke to pedestrians along the sidewalk. This isn't the first time Basement Jaxx has been associated with Coke. Their song "Red Alert" also made an appearance in a Coke ad featuring people dancing around a bon fire.
