The production duo Bunim and Murray have been bringing unknown and popular music to our ears to accompany their numerous reality-based programing for years on MTV, and now on FOX with THE SIMPLE LIFE, starring the "famous-for-being-videotaped" Paris Hilton. You can look through the Bunim-Murray music archives to find various songs featured in a handful of recent series, along with helpful descriptions of scenes when the song is heard.

The Soundtrack for the romantic comedy LOVE ACTUALLY includes three bonus tracks, not listed on the track listing at Amazon: Otis Redding's "White Christmas," Bill Nighy as Billy Mack (from the movie) singing "Christmas Is All Around" and the Oliva Olsen cover of Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You." Olsen's version was also used for one of the TV ads.

Knock First is ABC Family's kid-centric take on TLC's redecorating show Trading Spaces. The theme song "I Am" is performed by Faith Trent, and is by the same production duo that created the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy theme song, Widelife. Trent also performs on another Widelife single called "Body."

In TV trailer spots for Tim Burton's new film Big Fish, a familiar classic rock chorus fills the background. The music is from the song "Your Move / I've Seen All Good People", by the progressive rock group Yes (on the appropriately titled CD "Yes Album".) Speaking of films and Yes, one of the group's (many) former members, Trevor Rabin, also composes many film scores. (Although neither Trevor Rabin or Yes appear on the BIG FISH soundtrack.)

In Estee Lauder's TV commercial for the Beyond Paradise fragrance, an "exclusive mix" of Madonna's song "Love Profusion" is being played. You can find the original version of the song on the "American Life" album, and you can watch the ad at Estee Lauder's website.

In case you missed out on the CD offered from Gap featuring the remake of "Into the Groove" that was in the Madonna/Missy Elliot jeans ad a few months ago, you can now find the song (and 6 other Madonna mixes, including "Love Profusion") on the new EP "Remixed & Revisited."

The Gap is celebrating winter with three TV ads featuring remakes of the same song, "Put a Little Love in Your Heart." The ads are called "Love," "Crazy Fair Isles" and "Warmest Sweaters," and can be viewed at the Gap website. According to the website, the ads feature "an exclusive recording... featuring Kelly Rowland, Al Green, Ginuwine and Melissa Etheridge." You can find the song on a special holiday CD available at the Gap.
